GoodBye GM10 Friday

Another training day ending in celebration of Good Bye GM10 building.

Until now I had lots of enlightenment during the training. Lots of processes make much more sense now. *ay*

Thursday on line

Today I will be working at the Service Hotline all day long. Asking many questions, consider about correlation and causality. Find a process that matches and find a solution. Hahhh, I love my job.

• Happy Sunday and finally Monday again

Had a great Sunday in Heerlen. It definetly has been a good decision to go there and hang out. Really needed that. Aww, its such a nice place. We had a walk through the nature and even collected fresh green grass to feed a horseeee :).

Monday 

Went motivated to work at Monday morning. Had to re do one of the tests from these couple of trainings. Went well. Looking forward to the next coming days. An apartment would be a nice surprise. Pls hold your fingers crossed!

Ah! Huh, nearly forgotten: asked for vacation from 6th of April til 10th of April. Got it!! Let the relocations begin :D.

Sunny Saturday

Looks like spring is waking up here. Sunny times.

And the house hunting goes on...Wrote another armada of emails to ask for assistance from the housing companies.

Two letters: 
One from my mom including the international birth certificate and a very nice photograph from my home town. The second from Gemeente Maastricht including *tataaa* my Sofi/Burgerservicenummer !!! Aww, finally.


Planning my train ride home. Hope to meet my sister then.

I didnt really feel like that. But now I prepare myself to go to Heerlen to visit my friend over there.

Another training. Lets see.

Another great, stressy training. Learned a lot. Even about myself. Interesting.

Meeting my other new mates at FOF. Taking the bus to town together with my coworker from Spain. Spend some time together walking her dog around and have a drink in town. Now I am home from five o clock Friday night. Found two very nice and important letters in my mailbox. 

Good night now. 

Received my first salary. About 50% less than usual, because I didnt have my Sofi in time. Nice new challange. Better do not think about my rent in Leipzig and the new rent for an apt in Maastricht, besides the fact that they also will ask for a bond... *sigh*

Systems Training

Good morning.

Wow, cool , straight, clear training by two trainers. At lunch somehow I did something wrong. I am having head aches and my shoulders and neck are aching, too. I have pain, so I am alive. Fine.

Called my mom. She sent the international birth certificate. So another subject nearly done (register in Maastricht for Sofi number).

Waiting for my friend MB now. Hope my nerves dont work to hard then. Try to relax a bit now. Would someone give a training on that, please? ;)

... you always meet twice in life, he? Somehow its happening, that I am meeting my Kung Fu sifu again. Wow! Just forgot my pain over that. Thank you, sifu. :)

Pheww, more product input. Finally the product test. Now: aaahh. Steam off. 

Tomorrow will bring system training. Looking forward to a new topic. I am overwhelmed by the product details.

Nearly Friday

Had the appointment for ordering the Sofi number today. A sort of number you need for everything. In Germany it would be something like Sozialversicherungsnummer. Need an international birth certificate to be send from my home town to here. My mom will be allowed to get it and will send it by post. *yay*

After work a german coworker and a UK coworker we girls had a nice after work hang out together.

International news from overseas: they are selling cuties in Fort Worth, TX *awesome*

Sender: no information. 
Handwriting: very clear, readable.
Enveleop: green colored, tesa stripes on the back, it seems to be something additional inside.
Result: Nice surprise and motivation card from one of my new NL friends. Awesome. Thank you!!! 
(Question to myself: why have I been close to crying when opening the envelop and seing the little sunflowers sticking on the card?)
Really needed that today. I feel powerless.

Monday Monday *sings* - first contact :)

New week, new changes, new challenges. Haaaaahh, I love my job!!! Been really productive learning a lot detailed system usage. Already solved some issues on my own - with assistance ;) . Talked to my first customer. Great experience. Relaxed conversation. Still much more playgrounds to be conquered available. Did I say, that I love my job? I love my job.

Daily live:

They have a ticket system here, in which you can buy a chip card to load money on it and check in and check out buses. Today, on my ride back home I went in, checked in. Went out, cheked out - but! There was a red LED and a strange beep. This now is reason for my tonights walk to train station to check my credit on the card.

Been crocery shopping: bread, kwark (how they call it here), salad and some sirup (cranberry flavor).

Check in apt: 10:15 pm. Mission completed:
Back from train station. Loaded card successful at a ticket automat. Freaking addiction to machines... Reason of the strange beep: credit ran empty.

Got up in the morning with an aching stiff neck. Had some fun with that during the day. My cold is still with me. Drinking like a professional ;).

- got up early, been ready at nine
- been shown a car dealership full with Stars - Yay! I love Daimler!
- been shown an amazing place named the Kleine Indemann 
- been shown an empty village named Pier
- visited castle Nideggen
- lunch at Abtei Maria Wald
- chocolate shopping at Lindt and Bahlsen 
- preparing a photo shoot and discuss how to make the make up
- watched a movie "Safe House"

Good morning Tuesday

2nd product training day. Nice so far. Very interesting. Enjoying. Enjoyed that today's product training a lot. No schedule for this month yet. Somehow it came out, that I am Batman. It happend during lunch break... I am tired. My nose runs, my skin around my nose hurts - seems like I am alive. Cooked some rice with onions, ginger, celery and some other stuff that needed to be eaten. Watching Big Bang Theory now. English original voices, dutch subtitled. Nice. 5th of March 2012

Up to calender week 10.

Starting the day with no scheduled tasks. Nice. Joining the training of our colleagues. Then finally at 2pm starting our product training for FleetBoard. I love that product!

Ended the day with new german coworker and friend Nina: picked up her girl at day care and went grocery shopping. Shops close at 6pm, we re not used to that. 


A surprise "at home": my apt has been cleaned up and there's been a note from the lady that does the service for us. Nice. New linen for example. Cool. 


Had some salad for lunch and tried Müsli with Hagelslag. Nom nom nom.


Now relax and a film I guess.

Goedemorgen.

Early walk through the city. I love this city, the buildings. I dont know where it comes from, but it feels peaceful to me. Sun comes up quite lovely right now. Lets see what the day will bring.

Early Saturday morning

Woke up at about 6.30 am. No longer been able to sleep. Got up and had some tea and bread with jam.

My throat is aching. Some hand from last night might have given me a flu or a cold. :( Already had some hot lemon. Late breakfast. Figuring out, how the washing machine works like - quite similar. Washing the clothes (washing powder inclusive-nice). Going to the first mall and get some grovery with my UK buddies. Going home, leave for downtown shopping. Again some grocery. Back home. Hanging around and wait for my friend to arrive. My throat is still aching and I dont want to have to much excitement and adventure. So he will come over to my place instead of me going to Heerlen.


Spend time chatting and watching "Cloudy with chance of meatballs". *yay*

2nd day at work - training

Goedemorgen!

Today we start at 9 am instead of 8 am. Nice. Having early grey and listening to Arrow Jazz fm via internet. I took my old laptop with me. Lucky me. Very usefull and the apt has internet incl. Prepared my lunch. Bread with cheese and eh thingy eh ... (asking leo) celery. 

Hairspray, hair clips (did I say, that I cut my hair myself - I dont like it - pls grow, hair!), face cream, ... ok, time looks good. I will pick up my two UK colleagues, that live in the same house in an apt. Then we walk together to the bus stop to go to our today's adventure - training. Yeeha!

Had the training we re supposed to have, then lunch. After lunch we (the Customer Service dept guys) were supposed to join the daily life at our dept. But...and now here comes the challenge - they changed from train us for Customer Service to Service for FleetBoard. *dancing* Little impression: see here. So now our training plan for the next month completely changed and we will (at least I really want to) be prepared to work for FleetBoard Customer service. Yes! Love that. Fridays they have a social event. Some kind of meet and greet each other. Lovely. Had some good times with my UK coworkers. Afterwards we went to town by bus and had some nice Döner and a drink in this irish Pub that I ve been to now for three times. :) Good night so. Looking forward to tomorrow. Will have a nice trip to Heerlen and spend some time there with one of my new local friends...

1st day at work - welcome day

Impressed.

A fine welcome day. Lots of background info about the company: history of Mercedes, history of the company, all the different departments, social club benefits, the site moving soon to another building, first impressions about what you would expect while working here...well, welcome day at a customer service center.

For those who might be impressed: we were allowed to take a seat in the brand new SL 350. See here.

Tomorrow, Friday, our trainig will start. Looking forward to that. Been really tired today after lunch, because there has been no challenges.
