A day off. Filled my batteries with a whole good amount of sleep.
...In the evening some friends and me were invited to have a dinner at Restaurant La Vieille Vigne in Argentau, Belgium. Wow, it was heavenly good food. If you like good food, go there and enjoy the great old house and the nature around it and the lovely owners' friendly service. Recommendation. Seriously.

Another Tuesday
More air for Emma. Easier cycling for me.
The way home in the evening was possible without gloves. No freezing fingers. Yay.
Looking forward to tomorrow: finally a Karaoke event in Maastricht. A little bar named Rambler in the Rechtstraat is holding a Karaoke night on Wednesday night, starting at 10.oo pm. Looking forward to some fun and brave people willing to entertain us others. :D
Today I had my 3rd Yoga lesson. I am tired as hell now. My neck is burning. So its been quite successful. Yay for the Yoga decision.

Weekend IV February 2013 - Yoga and Tabuleh
About this week:
Yoga on Tuesday. Wow, my neck was aching. Also on Tuesday: prepared Hommus in the morning for my lunch at work. Just was missing the thin arab bread. Had some rolls with it.
Friday I saw a friend in town that I didnt see for a very long time (at least it feels like that). Something really strange is going on with my nerves: the left side of my lower lip is feeling numb or as if it was hit or as if I bit myself. The feeling moves now from left side to the middle. Strange. Really. Dont know exactly how to act about that.Trying to ignore as long as nothing else shows up? Hmm.
I did some awesome things on Saturday. Life is good.
I worked. So I had to get up in the morning. Brave me.
I visited the bicycle shop near the train station and gave Emma more air in the tires. And as not expected and not even thinkig about that cycling was much easier afterwards. Oh my...:D.
I was grocery shopping after work with only my backpack. Huh, it was close to exploding *gg*.
I finally went into the very nice porcelain shop at Emmaplein and was in porcelain paradise. Love that shop. Love white porcellain. Bought four small bowls for very small money. *yay*
I cooked potatoes and had quark with it. Hmm, home feeling.
Sunday is PostSecret Day. And its snow day today. We got a quite good blanket of snow over night from Saturday to Sunday.
I bought ingredients for Tabuleh. I hope its gonna work out. I am not sure if I forgot something. It will be a nice salad anyways, because I have couscous, tomatoes, parsley, mint and lemons. Could be nearly it. Lets see.

...I am checking the internet for recipes and ideas right now. Will use couscous instead of bulgur. Now look at this version of tabuleh, this lady is quite entertaining (and the video is very short):
...Now here are my classical Tabuleh ingredients:
- parsley (leaf parsley preferred to the curly one)
- tomatoes
- bulgur (or couscous)
- mint
- onions
- lemon
- olive oil
- salt, black pepper, cumin
Everything besides that is a variation for me. Ok, lets chop chop a bit...
...and now that is the rest of the couscous, fried with some veggies and herbs and green cardamom and eggs with it:

Weekend III February 2013
Mmm, coffee. Milk ran out? Ok, lets try the coconut cream powder. Mmm, good try. Its a smooth coffee now. Yay for another cool alternative.
Praising my Brotzeit genes:
Yay. So, well, another Sunday again. But! Its the Sunday after Carnival. And I survived. Wow, people are crazy here about this Carnival. Seems, they have a long tradition to celebrate that here. I was happy, that I didnt have to go anywhere with anyone. All the money spent for costumes, for colored sticks to paint your face, all the money for expensive food (now thats the hit: I heard, McDo made food more expensive during the carnival season-wow!), and finally alcohol and other drinks cost money as well. No no no. *grin* Happy to have spent money in coconut cream powder, so that I am able to use that instead of the run out milk. :D (and not for costumes *gg*)
I learned some nice traditions/words though: First one is Tussendoortje, which, directly translated is a little door in between and means snack. In my case the bar was selling pairs of cooked eggs and gave salt with it. Really a nice snack in between. :D Second is the pickled Hering after Carnival: containers with Herings and onions in a sour pickle offered for the guests as well, this time after all the Carnival partying. They showed me how to pull it and bring it that way in two halfes and eat it right away from the fingers into the mouth. Yay. Very earthy. Lovely.
What else? Parelloop ist still coming soon. I found an explaination in wiki. See this link (at the moment its available in german, italian, netherlands, russian, english)
Hell, yeah! My workshop offer is confirmed and the date for the workshop is published as well. On March 14th 2013 it will take place. I am so happy and excited.

Weekend II February 2013
Its Carnival time here and once again I am happy that I live a bit away from the city center. It may be nice to have that short walk to the party zone. On the other hand I do enjoy a lot the silence and not having singing, drunk people and loud music in front of my window. *yay*

Weekend I February 2013
Snow is gone. Cold is gone. As soon as rain is gone as well I am running out of excuses not starting to run. The date of Parellop is coming closer and closer. I still didnt make myself up and going. I am such a lazy coward.
But at least some good news: I will have yoga lessons soon. Every Tuesday after work. Coming Tuesday is the first lesson. I will tell you how it was like. Looking forward to it.
And tonight: 'Take One' bar downtown Maastricht. I wanted to see that since my first time in Maastricht in Jan 17th 2012. Its a great bar. Great service.
